yay i made it through a week of school in france. only 3 more to go. yippee. it is quite difficult.
i went to my new class today. sadly, it wasn't much easier. but i'm determined. my teacher is a man, which makes things difficult. because i have really only heard women speak french (agnes, my host family, my classmates on the trip) so it's just difficult to interpret a deeper voice. and i was suppose to be in zach and brittney's class, but now i'm in a class all by myself. but, i'm learning a lot. plus.
yesterday, we went to the chateau of leonardo da vinci. and i'm gonna be real for a sec, it was semi-boring. it took 20 minutes to see the house (aka apartment) and there was a courtyard of his inventions. all the furniture was left from people who lived there after him. and he only lived there 3 years. then we sat on a lovely hill for 3 hours. but ya know, hey. it was neat. there was lots of time for bonding.
for dinner last night, we had cold salad (e. coli outbreak much?) which consisted of tomatoes, brussel sprouts, and hearts of palm. topped with tuna. all my not-so-favorites. but i tried it. then my french mama was mad because i didn't eat it all. so, we didn't talk much after that.
today, i went to class. after class, madeline and i went to the train station to check on train times/prices for next saturday. we may get to go to brussels! yippee! for dinner, we had pizza, which made our italian roommate (monica) very happy. it was quite tasty.
tomorrow, we are going to mont st. michel. i cannot wait. i'm looking forward to it. we have to be at the school at 7 in the morning. ah. long day, but it's gonna be so cool.
pic of the day: our happy family outside of ambois.
a picture of me being silly at leo's house.
